Training outside in 70-degree weather is a rarity for the Illinois women's track and field team in April.
So perhaps training on the outdoor track was the reason for the team's cheerfulness at practice on Wednesday.
Or possibly the team's good mood was left over from a breakthrough weekend where the Illini achieved 13 NCAA Regional Championships qualifying performances.
No matter the reason, the Illini were in good spirits as they executed a relatively light week of practice before heading to Des Moines, Iowa, for the 100th running of the Drake Relays on April 24th and 25th.
