The university is slowly but surely returning to normal following the aftermath of a May 8 storm that demolished a majority of the campus’ vegetation.
Brad Dillard, associate director of the Physical Plant, said the university reopened Thompson Woods last week and hopes to have the campus in regular shape by the beginning of the fall semester.
Nearly all of the university’s walkways, bridges and parking lots have been cleared of debris, Dillard said, and the university is now turning its attention to removing more than 300 tree stumps from campus grounds.
